The latest pen collection from David Oscarson has been launched. The Trellis collection will be produced in five color variations, each limited to 88 pieces (including fountain pens and roller balls). The pens are done in Oscarson's mix of guilloché, hard enamel and metal details. The creation of the pen requires multiple steps of engraving, grinding and firing. The four colors of translucent hard enamel (azure blue, black, sapphire blue, and red) in the Trellis Collection are accented with white hard enamel and finished in 18-karat Yellow Gold and Rhodium vermeil. The fifth Trellis Collection piece features opalescent White hard enamel accented with translucent black, finished in 18-kt. Yellow Gold vermeil. The filling system accommodates a cartridge, converter or eyedropper fill and a series of seals and "O" rings prevents the ink from leaving the chamber at any point. A roller ball version of the Trellis Pen is also available. The pen has an 18K nib and sells for $4,500.
